scenify (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data of merchants who use our app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data Controller

Scenify Team is the data controller responsible for your data collected through scenify. You can contact the controller at info@scenify.online regarding any questions about your data.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data from your Shopify store:

Store information: store domain, current Shopify plan (used to manage credits and billing)
Product data: product images and descriptions (used for image enhancement and generation)
Generated images: images created within the app
Purchase data: one-time purchases related to credits or feature usage

We do not collect personal customer data such as order details, customer names, or emails.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data for the following purposes and under the corresponding GDPR legal basis:

Product images may be temporarily processed by our trusted AI service provider to generate enhanced visuals. This processing is limited to the requested operation.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored securely on servers hosted by Hetzner within the European Union. We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or loss.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. Data is only shared with third parties to the extent necessary for providing scenify’s core features (e.g., AI image processing). No personal or store-identifying data is used for unrelated purposes.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data only as long as you use scenify. Upon uninstallation of the app or upon request, all associated data - including store domain, plan information, products and purchase records will be permanently deleted. Generated images might be retained in case you decide to reinstall the app in the future.

You can request deletion at any time by uninstalling the app or contacting info@scenify.online.

7. Shopify API Permissions

scenify requires the following Shopify API scopes:

read_products - access product data for image generation
write_products - upload generated images to product listings

8. Your Rights under GDPR

As a data subject, you have the following rights:

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about your store.
Rectification: Request corrections to inaccurate data.
Erasure (“Right to be forgotten”): Request deletion of your data.
Restriction of Processing: Request a temporary halt to certain processing activities.
Data Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.

Requests can be submitted via info@scenify.online. Data deletion is also automatically triggered by Shopify webhooks when uninstalling the app.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We encourage you to review it periodically. The latest version is always available through this website.
